Corby Women’s Centre is funded entirely by grants and donations.

For the past few years we have had much needed support from Northamptonshire County Council towards the core costs of the organisation which has allowed us to continue to provide our valuable services. This core funding was supplemented last year by a one-off grant from Lloyds TSB Foundation.

Over the last 12 months we have been able to stage a series of Well-Being events as well as provide training for staff and volunteers due to a one-off grant by Awards For All.

The counselling and sexual health services have been funded for a few years now by Northamptonshire Heartlands PCT as part of its Health Improvement project.

As well as the above, we are grateful to have received some smaller amounts from individual Corby Borough and Northamptonshire County Councillors. These have allowed us to run some of our Groups and Courses. We are also extremely grateful to receive donations from members of the public and users of the Centre.

It is unfortunate that most voluntary sector organisations are struggling to cope financially and are competing for ever-smaller pots of money. This applies to Corby Women’s Centre now more than ever, having had our NCC grant reduced when the number of users has increased.
