Have you had unprotected sex?
You could be at risk of contracting any sexually transmitted infections including chlamydia.
Chlamydia is a bacteria that affects the sexual organs. The problem is that most people, whether male or female, have no signs or symptoms. So most of you wouldn’t know you have it.
If chlamydia is not treated, the infection can spread to other parts of the body and cause pain, especially in the abdomen and may prevent you from becoming pregnant in the future.
If you do get symptoms you might notice:
| For Women | For Men |
|---|---|
| Unusual Vaginal Discharge | Pain in Testicles |
| Pain when peeing or having sex | Urethral Discharge |
| Bleeding after sex or between periods | Pain when urinating |
| Lower abdomen Pain | Reiters Syndrome (reactive arthritis) |
