What do volunteers do?
Our volunteers are vital to the smooth running of the Centre.
Can you help with reception work, Drop-ins, counselling, interpreting, writing, publicity or fundraising? We offer training, on-going support and we pay towards travel expenses.

Volunteers are trained to do client work in a drop-in – duties include doing pregnancy tests, giving emotional support, giving out condoms & sexual health information, doing chlamydia testing, providing emergency contraception, advocacy if necessary and general information & advice giving.
Administration & reception duties – volunteers will work closely with the Office Administrator. Their reception role will be in drop-in when meeting & greeting women accessing the centre.
Interpreting and translating – to assist women accessing the centre whose first language is not English.
Volunteer counsellors – to provide counselling. They will work closely with the counsellors for client allocation and for other counselling issues. These hours can be taken into account for their Counselling qualification.
